Now, Universal Restaurant Vigo reopens with a culinary concept that blends the heritage of the venue with a thoroughly contemporary vision. <\/p>\n

The project is led by Silabario Gastronom\u00eda<\/a>, one of Vigo’s most renowned culinary names and a Michelin-starred restaurant. Under the direction of Goretti \u00c1lvarez and with Chef Alberto G. Prelcic leading the kitchen, the Silabario Group brings its philosophy to a more open, dynamic format that is deeply connected to the city’s vibrant atmosphere. The result is one of Galicia’s most anticipated gastronomic openings of the season. <\/p>\n

The return of a terrace with history<\/h4>\n

On 27 June, at 12:00 p.m., Universal Restaurant <\/a>officially reopened its doors at R\u00faa C\u00e1novas del Castillo, 28. The highlight of this reopening is the return of its iconic terrace, a space that remained inactive for many years and now comes back to life with a concept designed to blend naturally into Vigo’s social scene. <\/p>\n

Overlooking the Vigo estuary, the terrace is divided into two distinct areas. One offers a relaxed setting for drinks and casual gatherings outdoors, while the other is dedicated exclusively to lunch and dinner overlooking the waterfront. These two complementary spaces allow the venue to adapt to every moment of the day, from an impromptu aperitif to a reserved evening meal. <\/p>\n

Goretti \u00c1lvarez and Alberto G. Prelcic<\/a> perfectly summed up the significance of the project: “Bringing life back to its iconic terrace on Montero R\u00edos was something we owed to the city. From a culinary perspective, Alberto G. Prelcic brings the technical excellence that defines Silabario into a more relaxed and approachable format. The menu revolves around carefully selected sharing plates designed to be enjoyed at the centre of the table, combining Galician culinary tradition with subtle contemporary touches and showcasing the finest Atlantic produce. <\/p>\n

Rather than compromising on quality, the concept makes excellence more accessible. Local ingredients, refined techniques and elegant presentation come together in an experience that encourages guests to linger, order another round and discover the flavours of Galicia through its exceptional produce. <\/p>\n
