The palace of the Duke of Santo Mauro was built by the architect Juan Bautista Lázaro de Diego between 1899-1902, following French taste. Its garden is one of the crown jewels, offering a lush oasis in a privileged position in the heart of the city. Santo Mauro is ideally located in the center of Madrid, in the Chamberí neighborhood, near the Golden Mile (Barrio de Salamanca), the Paseo de La Castellana, where some of the city's most important museums can be found.
