Celebrating 35 Years of the AC Hotels Xacobean Route – A Tradition Pedaling Toward the Heart of Santiago

From June 7 to 12, 2025, ACHM Hotels by Marriott celebrated a very special edition of one of its most iconic traditions: the AC Hotels Xacobean Route.

An on-the-road experience that goes far beyond cycling. It’s six days of camaraderie, perseverance, history, and pure hospitality. Led since 1990 by Antonio Catalán, President of ACHM Hotels by Marriott, the 70 participants of this 35th edition covered more than 800 kilometers from Corella to Santiago de Compostela, passing through such significant cities as Logroño, Burgos, León, Ponferrada, and Portomarín.

A Journey That Combines Sports, History, and Team Spirit

The Xacobean Route is not just a physical challenge—it’s also a deeply human experience. Each stage has been a testament to the shared effort among executives, employees, athletes, entrepreneurs, and friends of ACHM, all united by the same passion: pedaling together toward a common goal.

As every year, AC Hotels by Marriott have been the perfect place to rest after each day’s ride. Spaces designed for sharing, recharging, and moving forward. They reflect our vision of hospitality: warm, comfortable, and full of soul.

Stages Filled with Emotion and Legacy

During this edition, the peloton experienced unforgettable moments. From the departure in Corella to their journey through iconic cities along the Camino—such as Logroño and León, where they arrived after a demanding 210 km stage—the atmosphere was filled with emotion, history, and the pride of being part of an initiative that is now deeply embedded in our company’s DNA.

The arrival at the Plaza del Obradoiro on June 12 was the crowning moment. An emotional finale that marked the end of a historic edition of the Xacobean Route, symbolizing 35 years of pedaling together with the same enduring spirit.

Thank You for Being Part of the Journey

At ACHM Hotels by Marriott, we want to thank everyone who made this very special edition possible: the participants, organizers, support teams, and of course, our AC Hotels, which once again served as that “temporary home” offering comfort and care along the way.

We will continue traveling new roads, sharing stories, and strengthening our commitment to a way of hospitality that puts people at the center.

    See you on the Camino!
